Frequently Asked Questions
-
As we begin our work together, I aim to create a safe, welcoming, and trusting atmosphere. In our first session, we’ll explore your expectations and goals for therapy. I’ll ask some questions about what’s bringing you here, your hopes for our work together, and any relevant background that might help guide us. There’s no pressure to say things perfectly or have a clear story.
-
We’ll begin with weekly sessions, which helps build consistency and momentum. We can adjust from there as your needs shift.
-
I offer virtual therapy for adults (18+) throughout New York State via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so you can attend sessions from wherever feels most comfortable.
-
That’s an important question, and one we will explore together. Therapy is a relationship, and fit matters. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a sense of my style, ask questions, and decide if it feels like a good match.
-
Sessions are 45 minutes long.

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, many clients with out-of-network benefits are eligible for partial reimbursement. I provide monthly superbills (receipts with the necessary information) that you can submit to your insurance provider. I’m happy to walk you through that process.
-
My current rate is $250 per 45-minute session.
-
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee.
-
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others engage in deeper, longer-term work. We’ll collaborate to figure out what’s right for you and check in regularly about your goals to make sure therapy continues to feel helpful.
